She changed her name to Marilyn Monroe with her first movie role in "The Shocking Miss Pilgrim" from 20th Century Fox. Marilyn Monroe began her career as a magazine model and was discovered soon after by 20th Century Fox to start her film career. Constant publicity and the pressure of stardom led her to drugs and alcohol. There are many questions still surrounding Marilyn Monroe's death.
