Abstract Art History
Abstract art can be defined as a type of art where a form or an object is created in either an exaggerated manner, or a simplified way. Abstract art is one type of art that attracts art lovers from all around the world. Abstract art is also referred to as nonrepresentational or nonobjective art. Although these terms are used interchangeably, they are actually representing what persons believed this form of art depicted.
A well-known way of collecting abstract art expressions is through abstract prints. Abstract art comes from three primary periods; which are: the Expressionist, Impressionist and Romanticist periods. These prints are most times described as a migration from realism in the way in which the art is illustrated. The p (more)...

rimary contribution of these three periods is shown in the way in which the abstract prints are appreciated by those viewing them. They should stimulate a strong psychological and emotional association with the imagery of art.
As stated before, abstract prints are seen as a migration from the viewable representation of realism. The migration from the conventional view can be complete, partial or slight. For example, the prints in geometric abstraction are based on the usage of geometric forms. Artists and critics that work within the pure strains or uncomplicated sections of abstraction are known to say that geometric abstraction symbolizes the peak of a non-objective practice because it functions with representations in two dimensions, instead of naturalistic entity representations. It is said that total abstraction has no resemblance to anything that you would recognize. Therefore, prints that are abstract are enigmatic, yet they are strong representations of a reality that is illustrated in another form.
Ancient abstract designs can be seen on rocks, textiles, pieces of pottery and signs; however, the beauty of this type of art is dependent on the symbols that they depict. In just the same way that a person can fall in love with Chinese calligraphy not knowing how to read it, that is the same way that you can fall in love with the meaning and harmony depicted through abstract art. In modern society, abstract prints are appreciated by almost everyone, everywhere. You can find these art pieces in digital art, sculptures that are used to decorate parks, graffiti on walls and in museums. This art form has become very popular in today’s society, and it has also become a very important part of our culture.
