Mary Calkins prints have a timeless almost modern abstract feel. Mary Calkins was the first woman president of the American psychological association. She was one of the most brilliant academics and the philosopher. Mary was born in the state of Connecticut and lived with 4 siblings. After a period of time, the family moved to Massachusetts and stayed there forever. In the year 1883, she joined the smith college in the 2nd year however her sister died and mar had to discontinue the study. It was a grave disappointment for her but she stayed at home and continued her studies. Afterwards she again enrolled in the college and completed her graduation.

arrived in Massachusetts with her father talked to the Wellesley college principal and got her a job as a Greek teacher. The young lady was impeccable in her profession and caught the eyes of the other faculties who were working in the university.
She had to struggle in the man’s world however the lady kept her cool and worked hard to achieve the success. There was a professor who worked in the psychology department who provided her the opportunity to teach the subject. She was elated but had to study the subject. Mary Calkins prints showed much talent - she was a born teacher who could explain the subject in an amusing manner to the students. Later on the lady took classes at Harvard but the director was not in favor of the female working alongside men. After lots of cajoling and opposition, he finally relented and agreed to her appointment.
Later in May worked with another professor to create a psychology lab in the college which became a milestone of sorts in the future. Mary was offered a PHD course by the Radcliffe University but she declined because Harvard refused her the similar course. She had numerous achievements to her credit. Mary conducted a research of recording the dreams and she found that there was a very strong connection between the life of dream and the real life. She was awarded a Doctor of letters from the University and won many awards. In a man’s world she was an epitome of intelligence, perseverance and won accolades from different quarters.
