As was mentioned before, most of Diane Romanello prints have a touch of realism in them and this statement is proven in her painting “Windsong” that was inspired by a picture she took of a friend’s driveway. Along with her beautiful artworks, Romanello is an active charity supporter and she uses her art, not only for self gain but for the gain of others. Romanello has been known to donate original pieces to her favorite charities. She has donated pieces to charities such as the United Way of Long Island, where her piece was used to make money through a fundraiser and The McGaw Foundation received the “Idle Hour” print. The McGaw Foundation is a non-profit organization that aids in the prevention, care, and hopefully cure of AIDS. The sales that were made from the “Idle Hour” piece were used to benefit charities that are there for supporting people who are living with AIDS.
