Born in 1902 in San Francisco, Adams would get a late start on photography but nonetheless would grow into one of the most talented and skilled photographic artists of the 20th century. nose and disfiguring him for life. Quite literally adding insult to injury, his family's fortune was for the most part completely lost during the financial panic of the following year.
Despite these setbacks (and perhaps as a result of them), Ansel Adams grew into a confident, independent-minded young adult. Early on he seemed destined for a career as a concert pianist, but found more luck with nature photography during expeditions into the Sierra Nevada Mountains with the Sierra Club (of which he was one of the original members). Ansel Adams prints success with photography quickly convinced him that he could make a better life taking pictures than he could playing the piano.

Early Life of Ansel Adam
A visionary figure in natural photography and a renowned environmentalist, Ansel Easton Adam was born on February 20, 1902 in western addition of San Fracisco, California. He was one of the most popular photographers during his lifetime for his black and white images of landscapes. Adams was the only child of Charles Hitchcock and Olive Bray Dams, who belonged from an upper Class family. Adams Father ran a prosperous lumbar business which was founded by his grandfather. Due to their family business Adam always stayed close to nature. Although he had very few friends but he developed curiosity in nature during his early childhood Ansel Adams prints. Instead of playing games and sports, he had passion for collecting bugs, wandering in Lobos creek and Sea cliffs. Adams was a hyperactive kid but suffered from frequent sickness.At an age of four years he broke his nose during aftershock of an earthquake, Adams nose always remained crooked for rest of his life. Adams shared a very warm and supportive relationship with his father but always had a distant had relationship with mother for his passion for photography. His father raised him with morality for human being and nature.
After demise of his grandfather, their business suffered huge losses and hence they their standard of living also fell down drastically. After getting expelled from various private schools for his restlessness and inattentiveness, his father strated his education by a private tutor at an age of twelve. At this age, he developed a passion for playing piano. He learnt playing piano under guidance of various teachers and intended to become a professional piano player before starting photography. Music played a crucial role in his life by bringing discipline and calmness. For couple of years music was his occupation.
Main turning point in life of Adam happened in1916 during a family visit to Yosemite national Park, Ansel Adams prints, he took his first photograph with his first camera. Thereafter he revisited Yosemite national park in the following years with better cameras. Hence, he developed interest for nature photography, moving on to it he learnt various darkroom techniques, attended camera club meetings, read magazines on related subject and rigorously tried his hand on photography.
At age of 17, he joined Seirra club as summer caretaker in Yosemite, and resources and remained associated with it for rest of his life. In 1921, his first photograph was published in Sierra club bulletin. He tried various techniques in photography and developed his skills for the same whilst he continued his profession as piano player. It took him several years to finally select photography as his career. In 1930, he became completely dedicated to photography after meeting photographer Paul Strand. He became cofounder of “F/64” group. In, 1933 he opened his photography gallery in San Francisco, he also published a book named “Making a Photograph “ in 1935 and after that he wrote and published many books on photography.
Ansel Easton Adam died on April 22, 1984. He would always be remembered for his contribution to photography world, role as environmentalist and growing consciousness in the US for environment. Ansel Adams prints are a breathtaking view of his great life.
