Greatest Rock Bands of All Time
Here are my favorite greatest rock bands of all time. I have been a music junkie since I was 10, so my list varies quite a bit. Also, these are in no particular order, there is no way I can rate certain bands over other ones. I used to have music posters lining every inch of my wall.
I went through a huge Beatles phase, they were all I listened to for about two years.
I live in the Northwest, so when Nirvana started I was one of the first to have a "Bleach" album. Still excited every time a Nirvana song comes on the radio.
Part of my 60's/70's phase, The Doors were by far my favorite, but The Rolling Stones were also up there

I was very into the alternative music revolution, Soundgarden was one of the big four alternatives from Seattle. Honorable mentions are Mud Honey and Alice in Chains

Just like I did with The Beatles, went though a major R.E.M. phase. They have such a large collection of music it almost never gets old, almost.
Although they were never my top band at any one time, Zeppelin was always good, and no list of bands would be complete without them.
I love the Bon Scott songs, Brian Johnson had big shoes to fill and did a great job.
After I watched The Wall in a certain state Pink Floyd hit me in a big way. The have some great art posters.
I prefer the early stuff.
Red Hot Chili Peppers
My first album by them was Mother's Milk, it knocked me out, what a cool different sound! Amazing they are still out doing themselves with each new album
Rage Against The Machine
RATM needs to be saved for a certain mood, but when you're in that mood nothing else will do
Although I am not a huge fan of KISS anymore, there were a few years where I was collecting all of their tapes, this was a while ago. Detroit Rock City!
The Cars are truly classic and will be on the radio forever. They are one of those bands that get played on every type of radio station. The scene from Fast Times, need I say more?
True originals that got a lot of flack at the beginning of their career
Nine Inch Nails
I was hooked the first time I listened to Pretty Hate Machine all the way through, I've been a big fan ever since.
When I was in high school I got Music for the Masses and had to have more after that. Listened to Violator so many times I think the lazer wore out my CD.
