Lost
From the beginning Lost had me hooked. It was such a great and strange story which somehow kept all of it's details intertwined without getting tangled up. Even though the ending didn't quite quench my thirst, this is my favorite and best TV show of all and can't imagine anything else taking it's place.

Dexter
When someone first told me to check out Dexter I said, really, a serial killer with a mission and a heart? To my surprise I could not stop watching and got myself caught up with the first two seasons very quickly. Dexter is very well written and after going through the story of his childhood is also somehow believable. With each episode you are wondering which bad guys will suffer under the blade at the end.

True Blood
I never really thought I would be the type to like the vampire shows that are on now, but True Blood is a major exception. It is well written, has great characters (some of who die off here and there), and mixes the roles of heroes and villains. Always entertaining, everyone I know loves this best TV show.

Rescue Me
I found Rescue Me when I was looking for a new show to watch and was browsing the shows that are instantly available on Netflix (by the way, how great is Netflix?). It had all six seasons available on demand, so I dove into the first one. I think this is one of the best shows and will either make you make you laugh and smile so much, or will disgust you, which type of person are you?
