Shutter Island
Creepy all the way through, Hitchcock would have been proud. This film makes you uneasy and uncomfortable, the exact reaction it is going for. Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio need to team up every year so we have at least one great film to watch! With Ben Kingsley and Mark Ruffalo added it is a great cast.

Toy Story 3
I rarely include animated movies in my lists, but this one made it. How does Pixar do it so right every time? Every one of their movies is great for kids and adults yet there is not one thing a parent would object about in any of their movies. For being the third in the series, it may just be the best, thank you Pixar!

The Karate Kid
I went in seeing this with somewhat of a ho-hum attitude, how could they content with Daniel-San and Mr. Miyagi, but Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan do not disappoint. I was wowed by Smith's easy of being on film and acting potential, it wasn't Oscar caliber, but very impressive for his first starring role. And it's hard to admit, but I think I enjoyed the story of the new one over the old.

Inception
All I can say is how's Christopher Nolan going to top this? The Dark Knight then this - this guy's mind needs to be in the Smithsonian.

The Town
Ben Affleck proves in this film that he can be a great actor. There have been some movies to prove otherwise, but this one is impressive. But I think his real calling is directing. With him directing Gone Baby Gone, which was great, and now The Town, maybe he really belongs behind the camera.
