In this article we will give a few more tips to make your apartment feel like a true home and also to make it feel larger.
Try to have multiple purposes for ever area or piece of furniture. For example if you have an ottoman is it the kind that can open up and become a storage area for movies, games, magazines, etc...
To add visual height to your space an oversized piece of art is perfect. Make those walls looked stretched out by adding a very tall art item, it does not need to be wide, just tall to create the effect of expanding your walls.
Clean up the knick knacks. A cluttered space is a visually small and limiting space. Clear shelves and counters will give the feel of openness.
Use the same color palette when choosing art for your walls and furniture. If your art and furniture are of the same palette and are coordinated it will make your apartment look more continuous, and not broken up.
A great tip that really gives the feeling of openness is remove your interior doors. Maybe not all of them, but choose a few doors and remove them, you can replace the doors with light weight curtains if you still need the area closed off once in awhile.
Be sure your windows are super clean! Clean those windows so you are letting the maximum amount of natural light in.
If you need your bathroom to be a little more spacious take out the big vanity and trade it in for a pedestal sink.
